Remote Waste LP is engaged in the manufacture and leasing of its remote modular biological treatment systems (the “Remote Units”). Environmental legislation provides a regulatory framework for the disposal of sewage wastewater in remote locations. When a camp is constructed in a remote location, provincial regulations require the disposal or treatment of sewage in a prescribed manner. The Remote Units are approved by the Provinces of Alberta and British Columbia for treatment of sewage in remote areas. Remote Waste LP owns over 70 Remote Units. The Remote Units combine biological treatment and suspended solids removal of wastewater in a fully integrated system. Remote Waste LP utilizes its Fluid Fix Film Reator aerobic treatment process (“F3R Process”) for biological treatment of wastewater and its positive flotation mechanism (the “PFM Process”) for removal of suspended solids including fats, oils and grease with mechanical scrapers for pumping to a sludge tank for disposal. The F3R Process equipment and the FPM Process equipment is housed in a 20 or 40 portable container unit. The size and number of the Remote Units delivered to a remote location is determined by the amount of wastewater to be treated at a particular location. Remote Waste LP has Remote Units that will treat wastewater for locations housing from 10 people to over 100 people. The Remote Units are installed, maintained, and removed from a customer’s location by Remote Waste LP’s technicians.
Remote Units owned by Remote Waste LP are generally leased to customers to treat wastewater disposal facilities, such as camps set up to support oil and natural gas exploration.
